Here you can see our finest statue of Medicine Buddha. This Buddha has many different names: Menla, "the Healer God" (Tib.: སྨན་ལྷ་; Wylie: sman lha), Bhaisajyaguru or Bhaisajya-guru-vaidūrya-prabhā-rāja, what literally means “King of Medicine Master and Lapis Lazuli Light”. Menla is known as the Buddha of healing and medicine in Mahāyāna Buddhism. He commonly named as “Medicine Buddha” and described as a doctor who cures all the sufferings using the medicine of his teachings.

All the details of this statue — such as the hands, face, etc — are made very carefully and in the details. Each statue has some space inside to be filled by traditional substances.
